Wild Encounters offers Professional Koala Spotters who are university educated with an extensive knowledgebase on Australian Native Wildlife and a wealth of experience in managing it.

Our Koala Spotters have a wealth of experience in managing Koala populations, delivering Pre-clearing & Post -clearing Koala survey's, management of koala populations during clearing activities. Wild Encounters ensures that all requirements are met (Nature Conservation (Koala) Conservation Plan 2006 & Koala Management Program 2006-2016) and that the project is delivered on time.

Wild Encounters offers Koala Spotters are Highly Regraded in the field of Koala Spotting, Koala Management and have assisted with Sick and Injured Koala Captures and Rehabilitation. 

 

The Nature Conservation (Koala) Conservation Plan 2006 - Section 16:

 

Section 16 - Koala Spotter needed for clearing in Koala Habitat Area.

(1) This section applies to a person clearing in a koala habitat area, koala habitat trees that have a trunk with a diameter of more than 10cm at 1.3m above the ground.

(2) The person must ensure the clearing is carried out in the presence of a koala spotter who has the primary role of locating koalas in the trees for the person.

Maximum penalty - 120 penalty units.
